Databib is a collection of research data repositories. Each repository record includes the name of the repository, its URL, responsible group, a description, open or closed access, location, start date, and contact information. Databib can be browsed alphabetically or by broad subject, and it can be searched. An RSS feed is also available. Users can identify and locate repositories, or create records describing data repositories.

Its contents include numeric data, computer simulations, figures and plots, interactive maps, multimedia, and scientific images The repository can be searched by keywords or browsed by title, content type, DOE data center, DOE user facilty, host Website, sponsor, or subject category.
