Requesting Electronic Material in ILLiad

Requesting Tips:
  • Use this form to request a chapter from a book.
  • Providing an ISBN or a DOI will speed up the processing time for your request.
  • Providing a note may slow down the request. Only include notes that are absolutely necessary. Avoid notes like "Thanks," "I need this ASAP," etc. 
  • Copyright only allows for 10% of a book to be digitized. This typically equals one or two chapters. Requests for more than two chapters may be cancelled. If you need more than two chapters, please submit a physical book request.

1. Login to ILLiad.

  •  If you have never logged into ILLiad, you will need to create an account.

2. Select the "New Requests" button on the top ribbon, and choose "Book Chapter" from the drop down menu.


3. Fill in the required fields with the citation information for your chapter.


4. Click "Submit Request". 

Requesting Tips:

  • Use this form to request an article from a scholarly journal, newspaper, magazine, or other serial publication.
    • For book chapters, please use the Book Chapter form.
  • Providing a DOI or ISSN will speed up the processing time for your request.

1. Login to ILLiad.

  •  If you have never logged into ILLiad, you will need to create an account.

2. Select the "New Requests" button on the top ribbon, and choose "Article" from the drop down menu.

   


3. If you have a DOI, you can use it to auto-populate the request form.  Simply paste your DOI in the "Search by DOI" box and click "Search". 

  • The citation information will autofill in the request form. Review this information to make sure it has filled in what you are actually looking for.

4. If you do not have a DOI, fill in all required fields with citation information for your article.


5. Click "Submit Request". 

Requesting Tips:

  • Use this form to request a dissertation or thesis.
  • Indicate in the notes if you will only accept an electronic copy or if you will not accept a microfilm copy.
  • Search our dissertation database or Google to see if it's already available online.

  •  If you have never logged into ILLiad, you will need to create an account.

2. Select the "New Requests" button on the top ribbon, and choose "Thesis/ Dissertation" from the drop down menu.


3. Fill in the required fields with citation information for the thesis/ dissertation you are looking for. 


4. Click "Submit Request".

  •  If you have never logged into ILLiad, you will need to create an account.

2. Select the "New Requests" button on the top ribbon, and choose "Conference Paper" from the drop down menu.


3. Fill in the required fields with citation information for your request.


4. Click "Submit Request".

Requesting Tips:

  • Use this form to request a document that does not fit into any of the other form options.
    • Examples would include Standards and Reports.
  • For a newspaper or magazine article, please use the Article form.
  • For a newspaper reel, please use the Microform form.

2. Select the "New Requests" button on the top ribbon, and choose "Other" from the drop down menu.


3. Fill out the required fields in the form.


4. Click "Submit Request".
