While visitors from New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seol, and other metropolises may not be overly impressed with the comparatively low skyline of Honolulu, Business Districts skyscrapers are nothing to scoff at, and feature impressive architecture, exemplified through the First Hawaiian Center, who’s façade seems to go much higher than 429ft, and the Financial Plaza of the Pacific, one of the many brutalist buildings in Honolulu which at first seem out of place, but come with a unique beauty of their own.
Ultimately, like any business district, there is not much for the visitor to do here other than gawk at the tall buildings, however, there are several water fountains, statues, and small public parks in this area which make lovely spots to take it all in from, as well as the historic Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace at the north end of the district, as well as a small monument to and telling the story of early Portuguese immigrants to the island right outside of the church.
