This guide is intended to serve as a starting point for researching information on East Asian Studies using both print and electronic resources available through the University at Albany Libraries. The prefix REF before the call number of a book indicates that it is shelved in the Reference Area on the first floor. If the call number has no prefix, the book is shelved in the general stacks on the upper floors of the main library. Most East Asian materials will have call numbers that begin with the letter "B," "DS," or "PL;" those books are shelved on the third floor, northeast or on the second floor.
