Where to find books
Use this to search for both UAlbany books and books to borrow on Interlibrary Loan.
Capital District Libraries
You may find books or textbooks at College of St. Rose, Albany Public, and other libraries in the area. Use your DAP (Direct Access) borrowing card to borrow from other college libraries.
You may find the Table of Contents and some pages from books you may consider buying or borrowing.
Some books are cited here and some .pdf files may be of value, but primary Scholar content is journal articles.
Use UA Delivery to send a circulating book uptown from the downtown campus.
If the item is not electronic, the library catalog will note its location:
Storage facility in the Science Library
Sign up for Interlibrary Loan/UA Delivery through ILLIAD. If the library does not own the book you need, use Interlibrary Loan to get the book from another library (no textbooks through ILL).
Search for resources by subject headings
Although a Title/Subject keyword search may locate some specific materials, narrowing your search to the appropriate subject(s) is more thorough.
Reference books are non-circulating and available for use in the library. If the book is at Dewey Library, you will need to go there to use it.
