As a faculty member or graduate student in the School of Public Health, you are eligible to use the resources of the Dickerman Library, in the NYS Dept. of Health. However, there are some limitations to this access.
The Dickerman/Wadsworth Library is in a secure building and access to the online journals that it offers are behind a firewall. You can search their online catalog to determine if they have an online journal that you need. (Note that the most complete list of their online journals is an A-Z list behind the firewall) However, you cannot access the journal articles through this open site.
Since the journal article access is behind a firewall, you need to use specific computers to access them. There may be a computer you can access in a faculty member's or researcher's lab/office that you are affiliated with. Also, the Dickerman Library provides 4 computers for library access on the East Campus, in the main building computer room (in the back corner). Input from the Dickerman Library indicates that this access can be slow or problematic.
Dickerman Library materials are also available through interlibrary loan. (You will need a NetID and password from the University at Albany to do this - contact the ITS service desk for assistance.)
