"Pause and Learn" with Podcasts

Did you know that 1 in 4 teens are listening to podcasts? (Common Sense Media, 2023).  Podcasts are "digital audio files that are available on the Internet and can be streamed or downloaded to a device" (Oxford, 2023). They are typically episodic series.

Learn more about social anxiety, mindfulness, and strategies for building resilience with these podcasts that center on the needs of teens and young adults.

Insight Into Teens

This podcast focuses on many issues affecting teens, and Episode 21 is all about social anxiety.

They discuss situations that may trigger social anxiety in teens and common symptoms. They discuss different techniques for dealing with social anxiety and ways to prepare for situations that may trigger it.

Mostly Mindful for Teens and Tweens

Take a "mindful minute" with this weekly podcast series!  Teacher-librarian Dominique Sullivan has experience with using mindfulness and meditation in classroom settings with children and teens.  

The Teen Life Coach

This podcast focuses on supporting teens and their mental health.  Episode 35 focuses specifically on Social Anxiety.
