The University Libraries' Mesoamerican codices collection consists of high quality facsimiles held in Special Collections, mass published facsimiles found on our shelves, early microfilm proxies of originals, and scholarly interpretations.

About this Guide

This guide directs the user to the bibliographic information of the Mesoamerican codices in the University Library collection.  You can search by codex title, format held by the library, codex type, geographic region and culture.  Once you find a title you are interested in, you may notice in the Call Number and Location field that many of these titles are held in the M. E. Grenander Department of Special Collections & Archives at the Science Library.  These titles are available for on-location consultation only.
