A guide to the process and history of impeachment in the United States

Donald Trump Impeached (Twice)

On December 18, 2019, Donald Trump became the third U.S. President to be impeached. Impeachment does not remove a President from office or undo an election; it is a statement of charges for which the President will be tried in the Senate.

On January 13, 2021, Donald Trump was impeached a second time. He was acquitted in the Senate on February 13, 2021.
