Bill Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998. The House Judiciary Committee sent a total of four articles of impeachment for a vote by the House but only two (Perjury to a Grand Jury and Obstruction of Justice) passed. Clinton was acquitted in the Senate on February 12, 1999.
