Library Services for UAlbany in the High School Students

This is a basic guide to the University Libraries for University at Albany in the High School Students.

Frequently asked questions

Q:      How do I get a library card?

A:      The first time you visit the library, you will need to bring two things to the circulation desk in the University library:

1. A government-issued photo id (driver's license, passport, etc.)

2. Your school id

If your teacher is not accompanying you to the library, you should be sure to have the teacher contact Greg Bobish beforehand, to verify that you are in the UAlbany in the High School program.

Q:      Do I have Interlibrary Loan privileges through the University at Albany?

A:      Unfortunately, UAlbany in the High School students do not have Interlibrary Loan privileges through the University at Albany.

However, you may place ILL requests through your high school library, or if that is not available, through your local public library. Our reference librarians can also help you determine if the item you're looking for is available anywhere locally for you to check out.
