This landmark case found that Mexican Americans AND all other racial groups in the United States were protected by the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.
Another landmark case! This one found that people are arrested are entitled to the rights against self-incrimination and to an attorney under the 5th and 6th Amendments.
This recent case said that the states cannot implement their own immigration laws, but also said that State law enforcement officers were within their rights to inquire about a resident's legal status during lawful encounters.
