SEARCHING on DATABASES and on SEARCH ENGINES
KEY WORDS + QUOTATION MARKS! It will be important for you to identify key words to help you navigate the resources available to you! Your best bet will be to search for words TOGETHER and in QUOTATION MARKS!
- "civil rights AND women", "civil rights AND asian americans", "supreme court AND LGBTQ", etc.
ADVANCED SEARCH is YOUR FRIEND
- When you are using a database, use the ADVANCED SEARCH feature as much as possible!
- This will help you narrow down your search as much as possible to find exactly what they you need.
- You should also try adjusting the FIELDS to best suit your needs!
