Wikidata Visual Tools

While the organizers of the edit-a-thon aren't WikiData experts, we learned of some tools at the Met's edit-a-thon that you might like to explore:

Knowledge Grapher

Create a graph of all works for an artist, given a Wikidata QID.

Tasks:

  • Add labels and descriptions to works.
  • Add depiction information to artworks.

"Double click" on the artwork in the graph to open Wikidata item.

Wiki Art Depiction Explorer

Browse and add depiction information for artworks, given a Wikidata QID for the work or artist.

Tasks:

  • Add depiction information to works that are missing, directly in the tool.
  • After adding, keep working with the same artist or institution to do more.
