IST 605: An Introduction to the Holocaust

An Introduction to the Holocaust

This LibGuide provides many resources in different formats to help teachers emphasize the impact that the Holocaust had around the world. Guide your students through the events that took place, starting with Hitler's reign to the end of the World War II. You will find documentaries explaining the destruction that became the lives of all Jewish people in Germany, as well as the insight from other countries with their limited knowledge of the events taking place. Hear firsthand from survivors who endured years in the ghettos or concentration camps and their ignorance about where this was really leading them. View museum websites with collections that provide educational background into a very horrific time in history that should never be forgotten. Educate your students on this part of history and maybe take them to see the museums or host a visitor event with a survivor who will speak to them about their experiences. History will not be repeated if we are all well educated on topics such as this.
