Saratoga National Historical Park is home to the battlegrounds during the Revolutionary War. Two battles occurred here in the fall of 1777 that became the turning point in the Revolutionary War for the American's. The British were forced to surrender, and this become an opportunity of hope for the American's and the possibility of victory which ultimately led to peace with Great Britain in 1783.
While at the park you can go to the visitor's center for more information, restrooms, brochures, programs, exhibits, and a museum store. The park is open to many recreational activities including hiking, biking, and horse trails. You can tour the park by following the 10-mile tour road and travel off-site to the Saratoga monument, a 155-foot obelisk. It is located at General Burgoyne's final encampment site. Special events and programs are frequently held at the park from May - October.

The Ulysses S. Grant Cottage was the final home for the Civil War Commanding General, 18th President, and beloved American public figure. Visitors can tour the cottage from May - October. You can explore the grounds and experience rooms filled with original and unique artifacts. There are programs and events held throughout the season.

National cemetery featuring the gravesites of local veterans and their spouses as well as the Gettysburg Tree, the ship's bell from the USS Saratoga, grave of the unknown civil war soldier, Congressman Gerald B.H. Solomons' gravesite, and numerous medals of honor recipients. Visitors can walk or drive through the cemetery. There is a digital map in the visitor's center as well as restrooms.
