Saratoga 250

Saratoga is beginning celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga which saved the American Revolution and changed the world. This site is all things related to the anniversary in 2027. Events have begun now with a compiling celebration in 2027. You can learn about the battles, the campaign, the timeline, untold stories and more.

City of Saratoga Springs History

The Town of Saratoga Springs was set apart from the Town of Saratoga in 1819. In 1826, it was incorporated as a village. On December 28, 1871, our Town Hall, designed by architects Cummings & Burt Associates at a cost of $109,999.46, opened to the public. The lions were added upon the buildings completion. In 1915 the Village and Town of Saratoga Springs were incorporated to form the City of Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce

The chamber website offers information for Saratoga County. It has an expansive section on local history as well many other offerings in the county, including horses, tracks, and museums, recreation and things to do. Saratoga County residents live on sacred ground. The event that occurred right here just a few generations ago saved America's revolution, helping birth a free nation, a nation that's given rise to freedom, prosperity, and opportunity. Many local historical sites are listed in addition to a short summary why Saratoga is well known for being the turning point of the American Revolution.
