This website, from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, links to many sections and subsections that provide concrete statistics, information and advice for living a more sustainable life. Rich with information, this site has many simple tips for daily life, such as how to store different fruits and vegetables for the longest life, to help readers save money while reducing food waste. The site also references and links relevant U.S. laws for certain subjects and links related pages as well. For non-English speakers, the site exists in translations of eleven other languages.
While not written for adolescents or young adults, the text is simple and accessible for most. The high volume of different pages and linked resources may mean that those with short attention spans may not access a great deal of the information.

This is a partnership between the Global Co Lab Network and the Smithsonian Conservation Commons that runs virtual weekly meetings to empower youth to address the United Nations Sustainable Development goals. They focus on three “Hubs”: responsible consumption, zero hunger, and climate action. Each Hub links to a specific webpage that shares more about the mission and provides contact information to join a Hub. Here, teens can see campaigns the Hub has run, such as one about reuseable takeout containers. Another Hub provides information about a community garden from which the produce is donated to a local church food pantry as well as the decline of pollinating bees.
This source can show teens the many ways their peers are working, both locally and globally, to improve our environment. The site may seem intimidating in its focus on meetings and global sustainability goals but students who are interested in this kind of dynamic advocacy will benefit.
