Almost as soon as ChatGPT was introduced, a crop of YouTubers and advice columnists started offering tips and tricks on how to get the most out of this tool and others like it. Much of this advice focused on formulating prompts, aka the question you ask the AI to respond to.
A tool like ChatGPT will respond to just about any question you give it, no matter how poorly the question is phrased (Other tools may be more limited. For example, Google Gemini, another chatbot, is programmed not to respond to political questions.)
But taking the time to tailor your prompt can save you effort in the long term.
