Access to Federal Information -- The Changing Landscape since 2016

Web Integrity Project (NGO)
The Web Integrity Project, from the Sunlight Foundation, monitors changes to government websites, revealing shifts in access to Web resources, as well as changes in stated policies and priorities. The Project includes Gov404 Tracker, which aggregates the most significant cases of censorship and information removals from federal websites since November 2016.

Federal Depository Library Program (Legislative Branch)
The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) was established by Congress to ensure that the American public has access to its Government's information. The FDLP is administered by the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO).
Free Government Information (NGO)
Begun in 2004 by a group of Government Information Librarians, FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research. The FGI Library is a list of presentations, white papers, published articles, and major commentaries and analyses by volunteers.
Government Information Watch (NGO)
Monitors access to information about government policy, process, and practice and to ensure and preserve open, accountable government through advocacy
Open Data Policy (Excecutive agency)

Open Government at the National Archives (Executive agency)
NARA stores federal documents that are legally or historically important, around 1-3% of the nation's business. On Sept. 6, 2016 NARA released its Open Government Plan for 2016-2018.

Preservation of Electronic Government Information (PEGI) is a two-year initiative to address national concerns regarding the preservation of electronic government information by cultural memory organizations for long term use by the public.
