Photos in the following powerpoint slides illustrate a UAlbany trip to Haiti back in 2003. Students spent 10 days in Haiti where they were guests of the Association of Peasants of Fondwa (APF) and worked alongside our Haitian hosts. UA students gave computer skills classes to local people who taught us drumming and dancing in return. On Sunday, we walked down the steep mountain road to church. The hospitality was wonderful, the food was great and the people were warm and welcoming. The town of Fondwa was at the quake's epicenter. These pictures were taken by UAlbany graduate student Vadivel Kumari. Text provided by Eloise Briere, Associate Professor. French Studies.
