Tropes Typically Found in Romantasy:

Romance Trope Elements

Enemies to lovers: Follows two characters who from the start despise one another, only eventually to fall in love with each other. This trope takes readers on an emotional rollarcoaster, right alongside the characters.

Love Triangle: Involves three characters who are linked romantically to one another, creating a tense web of emotions.

Slow Burn: The romance is characterized by a gradual development of romantic emotions, intmacy and trust.

Friends to lovers: Two characters that begin as friends with no romantic attraction, but eventually fall for each other in time.

Forbidden love: Two characters are involved in a forbidden romance due to societal norms, family expectations, etc.

Fantasy Trope Elements

Female Lens: Narrative told in a female's point of view.

Strong Heroine: Less damsels in distress and more dames doing the saving.

Elemental Magic: Main characters typically have a power of some sort, whether from the intial start or one that gradually becomes more powerful and prominent.

The Chosen One: Character is so whatever reason destined to save the kingdom/world/etc.

Secret Heir: Character is the secret heir to the throne.
