IST 605: The Ruling Class of Britain

As the eldest son of Queen Victoria, Edward VII was very involved with politics, especially those regarding foreign affairs. This biography discusses his secretary Francis Knollys, who had innermost views on his political and personal life. This book does a very good job of connecting the king to the people he ruled, and how he utilized his resources as king. However, its main limitation is that at times it can shift to Francis Knollys more than the king.
