The British monarchy has been a large part of history, starting from the Roman settlers, to the War of the Roses, to the current royal family in the modern day. Their rulers have shaped and defined history and have made their place in the world. However, the ruling family has a very long and storied past, and it can be difficult to find proper results for each ruler and their accomplishments. This Libguide answers who these people are, what they did, and why they are so remembered.
This Libguide was created with the intention of collecting academic sources on each ruling monarch to understand and learn more about them. From the Ruling Saxons to the formation of royal houses, each dynasty gets its chance to shine and reveal the history of its family. This Libguide is a collection of primary sources and secondary sources for each member, to teach to the best if it’s ability.
This Libguide was made due to the personal interest in British monarchy and how it has grown and evolved over the years. As a history buff, learning and teaching history are one of the biggest pleasures, and I hope that people who want to learn can enjoy the research process.
