Saratoga Spa State Park

Saratoga Spa State Park is a National Historic Landmark distinguished by its classical architecture and noted for its diverse cultural, aesthetic and recreational resources. In addition to the nationally-known Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Spa Little Theater, The Saratoga Children's Museum, the Saratoga Automobile Museum, the Gideon Putnam Resort and Roosevelt Baths and Spa, the park offers a multitude of traditional recreation opportunities.

Mineral Springs

Saratoga has been historically known as a thriving health and spa destination due to the city’s naturally carbonated mineral waters. These waters flow from the earth heavily charged with carbon dioxide gas and many vital minerals. Each spring has diverse characteristics, healing properties and a distinct taste. The springs are believed to have magic healing powers, and are said to help with skin ailments, assist with digestion and more!

Saratoga Springs Public Library

The Saratoga Springs Public Library is located in downtown Saratoga Springs, New York one block east of Broadway between Henry and Putnam Streets. The current building was built in 1995. Previously, the library was located at the corner of Broadway and Spring Street which now hosts the Saratoga County Arts Council.

While in the library, patrons can visit the Saratoga Room which is home to primary sources that showcase the rich history of the city of Saratoga Springs, New York. The collection includes rare books, photographs, maps, manuscripts, and reference materials focusing on local history, genealogy and cultural heritage. You can also receive access to digital archives and online databases for a more convenient way to explore. On the page, there are links to New York HeritageThe Digital Public Library of America, Saratoga Room Digital Exhibits, and Finding Aids for Special Collections. Visitors can also pick up self-guided tour pamphlets from various neighborhoods as well as various spots to treasure the mineral waters.
