How to Guide
Have access to EBSCO Host but cannot find one of the books listed in Resources, then this guide is for you! This page will give you a step-by-step look at how to find one of the books.
There will be two guides, one for UAlbany students and one for non-UAlbany students with access to EBSCO Host.
UAlbany
Step 1:
Scroll through the books in resources and find a linked EBSCO Host book. The link will be in blue and titled 'UAlbany Permalink for Ebook'.
Click on the blue link!
Step 2:
The link should automatically take you to the ebook page. Note that you may be prompted to log in with university credentials. If the link is not working, please look at the second how-to guide below.
Access to EBSCO Host
Step 1:
When arriving to EBSCO Host, you will be prompted to log into the account that gives you access.
Step 2:
Once you have logged in, you should hopefully arrive at a screen like the one below. Next, click on EBSCOhost Web.
Step 3:
You will now see a list of databases, scroll or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + f to locate eBook Academic Collection. Click on the link once you find it.
Step 4:
At the top of the screen, you will see a search box. Below is a picture of what you should type into the search box. You should also only get one search result.
Step 5:
If you have not already, click on the link to the book by Johnson-Weiner. Once you do, on the left hand side will be options to view the full source!
