According to Games Workshop, dozens of novels have been written in the Warhammer Universe, all of which are considered canon. The complete list can be found at BlackLibrary.com. All the novels appear to be available in E-book format, with some available as audiobooks. There do not appear to be any hardcopy versions available through this site.

Plot: A squad of Ultramarines answer a distress call from an Imperial Shrine World. A full Company of Imperial Fists was stationed there, but there is no answer from them. The squad investigates to find out what has happened there.

Henry Cavill, best known for portraying Superman, is attached to star in and executive produce a series adaptation of Warhammer 40,000, the popular science fiction fantasy miniature wargame set up at Amazon.
Amazon has secured the rights to the tabletop game, produced by Games Workshop, after months of negotiations and fending off rival companies that also sought the rights. This is envisioned as a potential film and TV play.

In addition, Games Workshop released the animated series Hammer and Bolter on the Warhammer+ streaming service in September 2022. Each of the fifteen half-hour episodes is focused on a specific faction from the 40k universe, including, but not limited to, the Imperium of Man, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, Tyranids, and Necrons. The price for Warhammer+ is $6.99 a month and $59.99 a year.
