Listed below is a collection of websites and blogs that serve as an additional outlet for skateboarding historians and journalists. All of these resources are easily accessible through Google. 

The Chromeball Incident

Eric Swisher's expansive oral history project. Features interviews of various characters over skateboarding's expansive history. these interviews are usually paired with photographs from the careers of featured skaters. Through these interviews, Chromeball becomes a great resource for looking up specific skate photographs throughout skateboarding' s history. A chronological list is available on the side of the page in order for the site's users to browse available interviews and photo-specific posts. Chromeball is hosted on the BlogSpot platform and therefore easily accessible through google.

    

 

Quartersnacks

Quartersnacks is a long running skateboarding blog based out of New York City. With a particular focus on East Coast skateboarding, Quartersnacks is well known within skateboarding for its sportscenter-influenced weekly top-10 which showcases the 10 most impressive skate clips that were released the previous week. Quartersnacks is also well known for its features, its New York City spots page that highlights street skate spots around the city, and the Monday links round up post that aggregates interesting skateboarding related stories from around the culture.  

Slam City Skates Blog

The daily blog of the influential skate shop Slam City Skates in London. In addition to highlighting stories from the British skate scene, the Slam City blog is also home to the Visuals series of interviews where a noted skate photographer is asked to talk about their favorite skater, spot, video, and skate photo. The blog also occasionally hosts full length interviews from various professional skaters. 

Simple Magic

Cole Nowicki's Simple Magic is a Vancouver based newsletter about skateboarding, the internet, and "other means of escape". The newsletter is home to a weekly ranked post that goes up every friday that highlights stories from the previous week. Additionally, there is a monthly longform topical piece written either by Cole or from a contributor. Past contributors have included writers like Max Harrison-Caldwell, Mike Munzenrider, José Vadi, Ian Browning, Zach Harris, Andrew Murrell, Christian N. KerrNatalie Porter, Ted Barrow, Sophie Yanow, and Kyle Beachy.

Skate Bylines

Skate Bylines is an expansive online platform for hosting longform skateboarding journalism. Skate Bylines was crated by London based writer and skater Farran Golding. According to Golding, Skate Bylines serves as an "online publishing outlet" dedicated to longform journalism about skateboarding culture with a particular focus on the "global workings" of skate media. Noted writers who have contributed to Skate Bylines include Kyle Beachy, Ted Barrow, Iain Borden, and Indigo Willing.
