Literacy Glossary
The International Literacy Association's online Literacy Glossary lists and defines 313 words related to the practice and teaching of reading and writing. While there is not an option to conduct a search within the glossary, the words are listed alphabetically under letter tabs for ease of access. This helpful resource was compiled by a large group of literacy professionals and contains definitions for several words that can be found in the resources presented in this guide. Therefore, this glossary can be used to clarify the meanings of any specific literacy-related words you are unfamiliar with or to help you gain a better understanding of the literacy field in general.
