Tips for Finding Popular Sources

Search for Fiction with WorldCat Discovery

Use the Libraries' Database Finder to locate WorldCat Discovery.

Step 1

Using the Advanced Search, enter your topic in the Search Term box (e.g. food). You can also search for more specific genres with terms such as "science fiction" or "steampunk."

Step 2

Under Search Tools select Content-->Fiction. You may also want to limit by audience (e.g. Juvenile), language or year of publication. Click Search.

Step 3

On the results page, tick the University at Albany Libraries box from the Search Tools menu on the left to see books owned by the UAlbany Libraries. Or, you can leave it unchecked, and request any titles we don't own through Interlibrary Loan.
