Many dissertations and theses have a scale or measure appended to them. The Dissertations and Theses database can be a good source for locating these instruments. Use subject keywords along with terms such as test, measure, scale, inventory. For example: (depression OR suicide) AND (test OR scale OR measure). Check the abstracts of the results to see if the author has used a scale, and then check the table of contents for the dissertation to see if there is an appendix which includes the scale.
