Cited Reference Searches for Promotion and Tenure

The University Libraries subscribes to Web of Science so that persons preparing tenure and promotion dossiers may conduct cited reference searching.

Web of Science provides 3 citation indexes formerly received in print or CD-ROM format:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), previously called Science Citation Index
  • Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)
  • Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI).

Coverage: current year, plus 20 years of backfiles.

Please visit the Scholarly Metrics page for more information.
